The WayForward Communications Coordinator position exists to support the mission as the backbone of the organization and the user experience. The Communications Coordinator will complete organizational and management tasks that support the efforts of a variety of projects, campaigns or events. This person must communicate with clients, vendors and staff to keep everyone on the same page. It holds the responsibility of assisting in project management, trip logistics, communication and administration. The position reports to the President. 

Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Oversees and manages annual Storybook creation and distribution

  • Assists the President in company initiatives 

Trip Logistics

  • Manage CRM

  • Oversees scheduling and trip details

  • Coordinates all trip details, arrivals and client information

Client and Donor Communications

  • Communicate with clients, staff & volunteers regarding all questions and trip feedback

  • Assists with all sales campaigns

  • Creates communication pieces (email and print) and ensures brand messaging consistency

Administration

  • Oversees various mailouts

  • Coordinates staff and client paperwork

  • Maintains office administration and ensures all miscellaneous tasks are completed

Often working alone on projects, an independently motivated person will work best in this role. The ideal candidate is teachable and willing to take ownership of mistakes. 

Problem Solver

With the unknowns associated with early-stage growth and the outdoor outfitter industry, this role will be faced with many problems to be solved. A ferocious problem solver who can handle fast-paced environments will do well here.

Organized

Many projects will be taking place at the same time that this position must manage. Systems and organization will be essential to staying on top of everything to succeed. 

Customer Service Oriented

WayForward has developed a reputation of excellent customer service. This person must be driven by a desire to continue to raise the bar on serving clientele.

Time & Compensation

Average of 40 hours per week.

This role can fluctuate during each season, but will average 40 hours a week of the course of a year.

Compensation will be determined based on credentials
