Camp Director Del Norte Backpacking Outfitter

WayForward Adventures is hiring a Camp Director to oversee all camp ministries and to ensure the safe, effective and efficient programs and facilities of the summer backpacking outfitter. This includes managing the WayForward Staff to provide quality and impacting ministry throughout all seasons.

Position Overview

The primary function of the CAMP DIRECTOR - DEL NORTE BACKPACKING OUTFITTER is to oversee all camp ministries and to ensure the safe, effective and efficient programs and facilities of the summer backpacking outfitter. This includes managing the WAYFORWARD Staff to provide quality and impacting ministry throughout all seasons.

It is the job of the CD to recruit, hire, train and lead top quality summer staff to implement the programs and ministries during summer camp and conferences. This also involves maintaining the relationships with these staff throughout the school year with the goal to continue mentoring them and encouraging future employment.

It is the job of the CD to oversee the Operations Manager to generate new initiatives to improve the ministries of WAYFORWARD. This includes individually championing the development and implementation of such initiatives for WAYFORWARD.

The CD must establish and maintain professional working relationships with employees, managers and external constituents. The CD exemplifies the core values of WAYFORWARD by being Purpose Driven, Team Player, Ownership Minded, Customer Service Oriented and Driver of Excellence.

It is the responsibility of the CD to ensure holistic staff discipleship. This includes but is not limited to a 16 month residency that is the foundation of leadership development and culture within the staff. The CD will oversee this program, develop high capacity leaders and maintain a diversity in the voices providing direction for staff.

• Manages trip logistics and oversees organizational processes

• Hosts client groups and builds relationships with trip champions
