Dietary restrictions

At WayForward Adventures we strive to make your time on trail the best experience possible. In order to do that, we work really hard to try and accommodate dietary restrictions. We specifically can cater to gluten, dairy, and nut free restrictions. See below for more details.

Gluten Free: Although all of our cooked meals are gluten free, we do serve certain meals on tortillas and bagels. In order to accommodate, we send corn tortillas on trail to substitute for those two items. We will also send a gluten free rice krispie treat included in our desserts with every dinner, but if you wish to have more variety we ask that you provide your own gluten free dessert option.

Dairy Free: Although all of our meals can be made dairy free by your guides, we do use cheese as a central ingredient in many of our meals. These meals are still delicious without cheese, but you are more than welcome to provide a substitory bar, shake powder, etc. if you would prefer. Also, most of our desserts do contain dairy, so we ask that you provide your own trail appropriate desserts if you would like one.

Other Allergen Information: While some of our meals do include peanuts, corn, and soy, we will do our best to accommodate to any allergies you may have. If we are unable to accommodate, we will contact you to inform you that you will need to provide a personal substitute for that meal.

“Often, food restrictions make me feel like a burden to others, but they used it as an opportunity to be creative with meals and care for me further. I felt so loved and reassured!”
